It's late. Long day. I'm posting this late and don't really have any focus for the entry. Plus, I've noticed a late post hardly ever gets any responses. How frustrating it is to work on a post and get no replies.
OK..... enough complaining.
What went well today....
kids were fun at school, we engaged in many new projects, I had a great parent-teacher conference, and...Little League baseball has started. I love baseball and I love watching my son each year as he improves.
Hmmm... fodder for a new post - baseball. So, I guess the day wasn't too bad after all. Just need some sleep - - -

It stinks that late posts don't get any comments. I am up late and was actually just perusing some of the late posters' blog posts exactly for that reason.
ReplyDeleteGet some sleep. (I should follow my own advice, shouldn't I?)
I love that quote. It sounds like you did have some good things happening to you in your day! I hope you got some good rest!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you wrote, even though you were tired. It's remarkable, isn't it, how much response matters to our writing lives. I try to alternate each day about where I "start" my commenting. One day it is from the top of the day's post; the next from the bottom of the previous day; and the next from the middle -- around where I post my daily link.

It's ok to be tired and write short sometimes. Don't give up the writing yet. When I started last year it was 2-3 comments at first. The only time I got more comments was on the weekends when people had more time to read and comment. I continued commenting and slowly built a circle of writers who have supported me throughout the year. Keep finding the "something good" in writing.
